I originally set out to design a knuckle duster that looked like it would really hurt. While searching for references, I came across some air gun designs and became interested in the idea of using a pressurized gas cylinder as the core element. From there, I decided to design a high-pressure gas-powered knuckle duster.
For the details, I incorporated several firearm-inspired elements, including a trigger, safety, and bolt-catch release mechanism. I tried to integrate these components into the knuckle duster itself, making it feel more like a piece of equipment that had been properly engineered rather than just a weapon-shaped object.
For the manufacturing approach, I imagined the weapon being produced by a manufacturer with an essentially unlimited budget. Most of the structural components are therefore designed to look as though they were CNC-machined from solid blocks of metal, preserving a sense of weight, precision, and mechanical solidity. These are complemented by a small number of stamped and sheet-metal parts, adding variety to the overall construction while maintaining its industrial character.
Hope you like it ♥
